Legal Question in DUI Law in Michigan

My 59year old father was just arrested in MIchigan for his third dui, open intox, driving while licence suspended, and fleeing and eluding. These charges make it his 4th overall felony, 2nd in two years. Does Michigan have a three strikes law? And if so will it matter that his origional felony was in the early 80's for embezzelment?
