Legal Question in DUI Law in Michigan

DUI in Michigan 5 years ago, now live in Florida

Good day,

I got 2 DUI's in Michigan in 2001. I paid my fines, and did all the other stuff (AA, impact panel, probation) and I now want to start driving again. I know I have to apply for reinstatement of my privledges (at least I think I do) via mail. I am curious about this, after all this time, will I be restricted in any way with my new license here in Florida?

Also, how complicated will it be to get my license here in Florda and insurance as well?

Thanks in advance

There is a way in which to petition the Secretary of State in Michigan for a license without returning from Florida. You may file an out of state petition and submit it.

the procedure is complex and hiring an attorney to assist is highly encouraged. The legal fee is $1000. Feel free to contact me further.
