Legal Question in DUI Law in Michigan

False Breathalyzer readings due to medication

With the consumption of alcohol, can the drug Proventil raise my blood alcohol content level and, thus, cause a higher reading on a breathalyzer test?

Thank you very much for your time.

Linda

I cannot answer your question authoritatively. You need a pharmocologist for that. I can tell you the the usual effect is not to increase the amount of alcohol, but rather to increase the reaction to the alcohol. Let me know if you want to discuss this further.
