Legal Question in DUI Law in Michigan

Minor in Possession

I recieved an MIP in fall of 2004 in Ann Arbor . I handled it all and I believe they told me my record would be cleared by age 21 if I had no further citations. I have not had any citations/arrests/etc. since then. Now I am applying for jobs and I need to give them legal information. Do I have to say I got an MIP? Have I ever been found guilty of an offense under section 404 of the Controlled Substance Act (21 U.S.C. 844), while under the age of 21?

Re: Minor in Possession

Since you "handled it all", you should remember what you did. Nobody else does - except the court.

Why don't you give the court a visit and ask to see your file? If you did it right, you shouldn't have a record.

You do remember where the court is, don't you?

BTW, alcohol is not a controlled substance.
