Age that children can choose where to live.
What is the law in Michigan regarding how old a child has to be before they can make the decision of which parent to live with.

A child never gets to make that decision as long as a pparent is required to pay child support. The decision as to which parent the child lives with is always left to a judge. The judge may ask the child who the child wants to live with but the judge does this in chambers so that the parents never hear the real answer. Also, the judge is constrained not to inquire as to reasons. William S. Stern
