Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

I have a change of custody hearing on May 25th. I received an interogatory from opposing council and I have no legal council..Do I have to complete and mail this back and does he also have to complete this as well? Also, I how do I enter evidence into the case? Do I take the day of court or should this be done previous to the date?
