child support

I have over paid my exwife over $3,000 in child support. My son is living with me and I wan tto know how to go about gettingh er to pay me back all this money.

Your lawyer can likely obtain a court order for any amounts in excess of the court ordered amount of support.

If you have overpaid, then you should be able to contact the FOC and have the account funds returned to you as a credit. In any event, there is a process to follow and you need to do it in a timely manner,--child support adjustments may have to go through the court, if they can't be resolved administratively.

That's an awful lot to overpay, and it might be that if you sat on the adjustment too long, you might not be entitled to a refund.
