Are you require to tell your spouse that you inherited money from a deceased grandmother that died before you moved out of the home and before you asked for a divorce?Would the money have to be split or used towards outstanding bills? Think my son's wife is hiding something from him.

Your son's wife is not obligated to tell her husband if she inherited money and she can spend it any way she would like. The only way she would be obligated to share it is if the money is co-mingled with marital funds.

Your husband's divorce attorney can learn about any and all assets that his wife has. Normally she'd be entitled to keep her inheritence if she kept that money seperate. However there are exceptions to that rule. For additional information go to:
