Contact the Oakland County Friend of the Court with that question, look on their website, and/or in the FOC pamphlet/booklet that is available on the court's website. She needs to contact them herself as well, since she's the one that has to sign off on any arrears or change in child support. The two of you can also draft your own Consent Order which states that the arrears of X amount have been paid in full and/or forgiven (whatever the case may be), and that as of X date, you're current on support, etc. It just has to be clear to the FOC & Court what you're doing and that there's no balance left, or a lower balance, etc.

If she or the child receives governmental assistance of any kind, there are other issues associated with "canceling" a child support arrearage, so definitely consult with a lawyer if this applies to your situation.

If you still can't figure it out (or she's not doing her part), you're going to have to retain a lawyer to assist you. Good luck. Thank you.
