It depends on what the state of the condition of his mind is. If he is able to understand that he has assets and understands how he wants to distribute those assets, then he may be able to make or modify his will. Consult with an attorney who specializes in wills and estate planning before attempting to proceed to have him change his well. You may want to ask the medical professionals who take care of him what their professional opinion would be on the state of his mind.
