Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

i am a legal medical marijuana patient due to back pain. the DHS office in Cass is telling me i have to quit using marijuana to gain custody of my daughter who was "stolen" from me by her grandmother. what are my rights?

The problem you may have is not that you use marijuana and they are holding it against you. The problem comes in if you are "high" and not able to take care of your daughter. The fact that it is prescribed may be besides the point.
