Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

A Michigan child support question...

I am representing myself and filed a motion to appeal a referee's decision. the opposing lawyer then drafted a response to that, including the addition of other items that he 'could/would' bring up. He sent me a copy of it that I got on a wednesday afternoon for a friday trial.

My questions are:

a) is that considered 'timely' notification?

b) is it grounds for an appeal?

c) should I have stated anything during the hearing regarding the short notification?

d) If I do appeal, is it to stop the items that he introduced in his order, or is it possible to add to it? meaning if the addition was that they showed that I made more then reported based on the section they introduced and they also have the same additional income but failed to acknowledge it, could I get their income added with an appeal for that section?

This is not the correct forum to learn to practice family law. All of the questions and answers are available in the law library. Otherwise, it is best to hire an experienced family law attorney to assist you in handling the case properly. It does not seem that your attempt to practice law is working out very well for you.
