Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

Moving and need a Divorce

I have found a job out of state.

Our home office and self employment between the state of michigan and my wifes mental state is no longer tolerable. My family refuses to move. Can I move and still file for divorce from a different state?

Re: Moving and need a Divorce

You need to find out what the laws are in the state you are moving to regarding a time limit for filing. In Michigan you must live in the state for 6 months before filing. Ot you can file in Michigan before you move.
