Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

Moving

what rights do I have , I am wondering if I am able to move out of state?

My divorce is not final yet , as a matter of fact it not even started yet . I have two children son 5 and daughter 3 . My soon to be ex- husband drives truck for a living and sees them when he can. I was just wondering if I had any rights to moving out of state. The kids live with me . I would be moving to Illinois. I wanted to know if that is possible to take the kids out of state and live.

thank you

Re: Moving

Providing there is no court order prohibitting you from relocating out of state there is no reason you cannot if you so desire. After your move you should ckeck into the residency requirements for filing a divorce in the new state.

Good luck to you.
