If a person amends a divorce to buy out the other party's half of the marital home, and is issued a court order to pay monthly payments, then does not attempt to make the payments they agreed to pay, can the other party get the house back?

A well drafted Judgment of Divorce will fully describe the remedy for defaulting in the payments. If the judgment does not do so, the judge will decide. That decision MIGHT include getting the house back. You can read more about property settlement issues at:
