Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

I am a step grandparent. My daughter-in-law has been threatened by the Friend of Court representative that if she does not accept his verbal direction he will make sure she looses her parental rights. Mother is fearful that if she takes any action, she will lose her parental rights. I feel she is being bullied and I will not allow her to live in this fear. Father has been incarcerated for drunk driving, has been taken back to court for child support and for terms regarding visitation. I desire to bring this to someone's attention but do not know where to start. I certainly do not wish to meet with this court person for fear of his retribution.

Your advise/direction is appreciated in strict confidence.

Thank You,

Robert Schimmel

It is impossible to answer your question as it it too vague. I would need to know what the Friend of Court rep is telling her to do and why they are even meeting with the Friend of the Court.
