taking child out of state

can my ex take our son out of state for the weekend it does not interfer with my visitation but she took him to virginia without my permission is there any thing i can do

Yes. Unless there is a court order to the contrary, your wife can take your son to Virginia. Parents are not allowed to permanently remove children from the jurisdction. If your theory was correct, children coming from the homes where the parents divorced could never go to Disneyworld. William S. Stern
