Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

Tutoring for a learning disabled child

My sixteen year old son has been diagnosed by a NueroPsychologist as having a learning disability in the reading realm. His recommendation was as follows: ''it is felt that with the provision of appropriate academic programming, he should perform in a reasonably satisfactory manner''. The doctor has also signed the required paperwork needed to enroll my son in Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic which allows him to receive his school texts and required reading on audio. My ex is required to pay a portion of all unisured medical expenses. My son receives 8 weeks of tutoring for reading in the summer, which our insurance does not cover, as well as the annual charge for for his audio books. Ex is disputing that these are medical expenses. Is he correct?

Re: Tutoring for a learning disabled child

My guess is that your judge would require the ex to share in those expenses. Your lawyer can bring the matter in front of the judge for a ruling.
