Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Michigan

I have a gold membership from hertz, which means that they have all my info. I recently made a reservation, but did not take it. It seems, that hertz made a mistake and gave someone my reservation under my name and credit card making me liable if anything were to happen. Do I have a case against hertz?

You should have cancelled, but they should have asked for ID. Yes, you have a "case" for getting your credit card charge refunded. Send a dispute to your credit card company, in the unlikely event that Hertz refuses to reverse the charge.
