Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Michigan

My husband has two lawsuits brought against him by his ex mother in law. We pay 150.00 a month and have for the past four years. We write the checks out to her and mail them to her attorney. Her attorney mails us a receipt and gives the checks to her. I sent her the 150.00 in october 2011, and the lawyer sent us the receipt of payment. We just got a letter today, asking us to reissue yhe checks from oct 2011 as the ex mother in law didnt cash them, and the.bank wont cash them because they are over a year old. Do we need to reissue the checks from 16 months ago, even though we sent them when we were supposed to, and got a recept from her attorney as payment received?

The money is stil due if it hasn't been cashed. If you don't pay, I believe the attorney will have you back in court.
