Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Michigan

can i legally send a cease and desist all communication letter to an ex friend? i am getting phone calls and letters from a person i don't wish to associate with any longer. i have caller id, so i don't answer the phone calls, but the person leaves messages. i'd like it to stop!!

can i send this letter to have them stopped, and if they don't comply i will get an attorney?

It's stalking, once you tell them to stop communicating with you. After that letter, you can contact your local police department and make a criminal complaint or proceed to court for a personal protection order. Visit www.kliszlaw.com to get started. Tim Klisz

You can send such a letter and you can make a criminal complaint to the police. If it gets worse or you want at the moment, you can file for a PPO (personal protection order). http://www.wolverinelaw.com
