Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Michigan

I had a personal protection order granted against my ex girlfriend but I have not taken it to have it served to her yet. I stopped because I want to know if she could get one against me after she is served. I know that false orders are granted all the time because of the relative ease of having PPOs granted.

My reason is, I have a Concealed Pistol License that I have had for two years. If she were to file against me, could my CPL be taken away? Or could it stop me from renewing my license? I am not in contact with the woman anymore and I do believe that the PPO is the only way to get her out of my life.

I am just hesitant because I do not want to give up my CPL as I carry just about everywhere I go. Also would a PPO show up on employment background checks?

Thank you so much...

To avoid the adverse consequences involved in your current situation, it may be prudent for you to relocate to another state.
