Is there a time limit that someone can sue you for small claims court, after they have moved out of your house, and claim you didn't give them back their property?

You are bound by the landlord tenant laws of the state. Your situation is more complicated than a simple statute of limitations problem. Generally, the statute of limitations is 3 years for general claims and six years on a contract.
