Legal Question in Immigration Law in Michigan

I am an Iraqi citizen who immigrated to the USA a couple of years ago through asylum immigration (from the American Embassy in Amman, Jordan) and have been waiting for my green card since. I haven't left US soil since and I would like to go on a vacation to Europe this summer. Is it possible in my current status without a green card and without harming my green card application as well? Thanks.

You may apply for a Refugee Travel Document, and you will want to be sure you applied for advance parole when filing for permanent residence. It is important that you do not return to your home country, but other travel would be allowable. You should consult with an attorney prior to doing so to be clear on your individual details.
