Legal Question in Insurance Law in Michigan
Is my homeowers insurance responsible for my injury?
A pipe broke in the upstairs bathroom ,which caused a flood in our livingroom. I called the homeowers insurance right away. In turn they told us to clean and move the furiture out. While doing so I injuried my back. Test show nerve damage and I'm in pain daily not being able to live the normal every day life as before. Do I file a claim with them or do I hire a Lawyer?

Re: Is my homeowers insurance responsible for my injury?
You should talk to an attorney. You already have
a claim with them and they chose to advise you to
do some of the work instead of providing you with
the personnel to do it. They will surely dispute
this injury and a lawyer will be needed to properly
present your side of the dispute.
