Legal Question in Juvenile Dependency in Michigan

i turn 16 in a month and a half. my boyfriend and i have never had sex because he is alot older then i am and i dont want him to get into any trouble. my mother said that the only way she will let us be together is if she goes to the court house when i am 16 and signs the papers for us to get married. but i dont want to get married just yet i just want to live with him. is there any other way we could do this? could she just sign something that says we can live together?

You could attempt to emancipate yourself. At 16 it is now legal for you to have sex, as well without your boyfriend being charged with a crime. Other than that, until you're 18, you have to play by your mother's rules.
