Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Michigan

landlord changing lease

I just signed a 6mo renewal on my apartment lease after sitting down with the reps and agreeing on the rent/mo. A couple of days later they called to say they put the wrong amount down and I have to sign a new one ($100 higher/mo) or they won't honor the lease and I'll have to move out. What are my rights here? Isn't the lease binding once I sign it and they accept it? TIA

Re: landlord changing lease

They are wrong and you are right. Tell them tough luck and to sue you. The Judge should agree with you if it goes that far. Contact me at www.kliszlaw.com to discuss. Tim Klisz
