how long does the landlord have to fix the furnace if there is a 3 year old in the home and the temperature inside was 46 degrees for 18-20 hours?

You may have to go to a motel for the night, and you may have to submit the motel bill along with your rent payment that deducts that amount. The furnace should be fixed within 24 hours. Your other option is to send your 3 year old to stay the night with friends/relatives. You may want to stay there as well, for a night.
