Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Michigan

Someone I had a phone conversation with took notes of what I said to them, without my consent(or knowledge at the moment). They planned on using that information against the person we were talking about in a lawsuit (the person is a witness I think. not really sure). But in anycase, is it illegal for them to take notes on what I said to them if they're planning on using that information against someone?

No, of course not. Don't be silly. You chose to speak with the person. They don't need your permission to repeat it.

Unless you were talking to your doctor, your priest, or your wife, (and then only under limited circumstances); anything you said can and will be used against you, or against anyone else.
