Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Michigan

No Medical Diagnosis Until Now. Can I sue previous care providers?

I was recently diagnosed with PCOS (Plycystic Ovarian Disease). I have been in and out of doctors offices for over 5 years now going through various tests and proceedures only to be told that they can't find anything wrong with me. After visiting with my current doctor only about 6 times and after only one ultrasound and some lab work he was able to finally tell what was wrong with me and what has been wrong with me since I was 16. All of the weight gain, loss of self confidence and problems with concieving children could have all been avoided had I been properly diagnosed. I want to know if I have a case and if so how do I go about persuing it.

Even though the other doctors misdiagnosed your condition, it is highly doubtful that you have a case against them. They are not held to the highest possible standard. Their legal duty is to act in accordance with the average doctor in their specialty with similar training and experience. They are allowed to make mistakes. The fact that many doctors missed the diagnosis for many years would be enough to lose the case.
