Personal injury on your own property

My husand fell off the pole barn in our yard, and broke his back. Doesn't our homeowner insurance cover us. I was told (it only covers someone that doesn't live in our house).

You have to read the policy. Chances are, it covers you if you are sued by another person. That is liability coverage. The type of coverage you are speaking about is disability coverage and that requires a separate disability policy. William S. Stern
