Is PIP Settlement taxable

I was involed in an accident last year and recieved lost wages and

other danages. Is any part of this settlement taxable by IRS or the state of Michigan?

Benefits payable for lost wages are reduced by 15& for taxes, unless you can show that you were in a lower tax bracket at the time of the accident.
