Legal Question in Personal Injury in Michigan

I recentely got in an auto accident that left my car completely totalled and me pretty injured. I am in the middle of a lawsuit against the responsible party. My question is, now my insurance is trying to deny my claim, claiming that they didnt get my payment and i didnt have insurance. Even though I had automatic withdrawal and there was plenty of cash in my account. So there is no reason the money shouldnt have been taken. So I now am in the middle of trying to get that handled as well. If they are claiming that I was uninsured at the time of the accident, am I still able to participate in the accident? And how do I go about getting my loss of wages, medical bills, and car paid off if they are going to deny my claim?
