Settlement
After receiving a settlement for a car accident with injury can the medical insurance company sue us to get part of our settlement for the medical bills they paid?

Absolutely. But, it depends upon the terms of your policy. Chances are there is an indemnification clause which states that they have the right to recover money they paid out if you get a payment on the same from someone else. You can't recover twice, once from them, and once from someone else.
