Michigan statutes. You can call the county or look it up on Mi.gov. The clerk MAY tell you, BUT in MI you need to be aware of some possible pitfalls of DIY deeds:
1. Property tax "pop up"
2. Primary residence exemption may be lost
3. Mortgage "due on sale" clause
Also, tenants in common vs joint tenancy? You need to know the difference.
