Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Michigan

Quit claim/now in forclosure

I signed a quit claim deed to my ex husband for the marital home. Now the home is in foreclosure with my name all over the paper and the court system and it has ruined my credit. Is there anything i can do about it? Sue my ex husband for not refinancing the home to get my name off it? I am really at my wits end with this i am trying to start my life over and can't get credit anywhere because of this foreclosure being on my credit report!!! Please tell me there is something i can do???

Re: Quit claim/now in forclosure

You can request the paper to print a response because the information they reported is not totally accurate. You can sue your husband for your damages. You can also write to the credit reporting agencies and dispute the negative remarks. There are three major reporting agencies and you must contact all three: TransUnion, Experien and Equifax.
