Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Michigan

Quitclaim Deeds

My husband's elderly father who owns 80 acres of property wants to file a quitclaim deed giving ownership to two sons.

His mother is not on the current deed, and we were wondering if she is required to sign off on the quitclaim deed (feeling that if anything were to happen to Dad now, she would inherit the property as things stand currently).
