What are the steps the redeem our home after foreclosure auction? we have not received any letter or notice of the sale of our home at auction but a real estate friend has told us the our home was sold at a September auction.

You should have received several notices. In any event, ask your real estate friend where he saw the notice of sale. Get a copy and you'll be able to tell who the attorneys are -- usually Trott & Trott or Orlans Associates, but could be another law firm. Call the firm and ask for a redemption amount and the will give it to you. Note that after the sheriff's sale, the redemption amount will be the entire mortgage plus interest plus some attorney fees. You can't just "make up" the back payments at this time. Good luck.
