Legal Question in Traffic Law in Michigan

No car insurance

In 2006, a vehicle that was registered to me (uninsured) was in a car accident. The person that was driving my car I no longer speak to. I got a call the other day from a collection agency stating that there is 6k due to the other persons insurance company and even though it was their fault- michgan is a no fault state yadda yadda.

This man wants 6k from me right now or he said they will suspend my drivers license and license plate on my car. I have never been in trouble in my life.. not even a speeding ticket. I know I shouldve had insurance on the vehicle but thats why I wasnt driving it.

I am a single mother of two and due for #3 on March 17th and I am goiung through a high risk pregnancy and I have these people harassing me.

HELP!!!
