Legal Question in Traffic Law in Michigan

traffic

I was recently pulled over and given a ticket for dwls 2nd. The officer said he stopped me because of an anonymous tip I had a suspended license. Is this legal I was not breaking any other laws for him to pull me over. Do I have a case?

Re: traffic

There might be a probable cause issue but it depends on the police report of the stop. An attorney can look at all the issues. If you need help with this contact my office at 248.705.3742 or www.schmierlaw.com

Re: traffic

He didn't pull you over because of the anonymous tip, he ran your name or plate through his computer and then he pulled you over because he then absolutely knew you were DWLS.

You have no case based on probable cause. Actually, you have no case period - either you're DWLS or you're not.

A lawyer might be able to get you a break.
