Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Michigan

I don't know anyone that I can appoint as an executor of my estate or someone to even take care of my funeral when I pass. What should I do? (I have significant assets and one sister who is estranged). I do NOT want anything to go to her. A few months ago I met with an attorney but don't have the information he needs to draw up legal documents such as the first question..help!

An attorney would make a good choice as your personal representative. Ask your attorney if they can do it for you. If not, check around as others will certainly say yes. www.kliszlaw.com. Tim Klisz

You may state a friend as the personal representative in your will or state that the court appoint someone (who will probably an attorney from the list the court maintains). If you do not have a will, your sister may recieve your assets when you pass. If you would like to discuss same in more detail or assistance with drafting a will to take care of this issue please contact me at johntatone.com.
