The Trustee of a trust for a minor child cannot use the money for themselves, however, the Trustee may invest the money from a trust or pay certain bills (at thier discretion) as they see fit, as long as the activity does not violate the rules set forth in the trust document. If you would like to discuss this in more detail, please contact me to discuss at 888-988-LAWS (5297) or [email protected]. I have been involved in lawsuits against Trustees that do not properly account for the money or use the money for thier own benefit.
