Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Michigan

Death with no will

My friend's brother passed away a couple of months ago and he did not have a will. He had a wife and two adult children. The wife is selling everything without consulting the children and without giving anything to the children. Can she do this? Shouldn't the children get some of his property?

If the children are her children too, then she can do this. If they aren't her children they need an attorney...pronto!
