Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Michigan

family in need

My questions are my mother passed away in Feb. My youngest sister was left in charge and thats fine with me.My mothers siblings came forward and told my youngest sister that not everything in the house was our mothers. My sister wanted to sell everything and she wanted to do it very fast. My questions are..THe house was sold at a sale ''as is'' and only to make sure that sale went though she agreed to help pay for a new drain field out of the estate money Do we the other kids have to agree to help cover this large amount. The ohter questions is one of the kids owed our mother a large amount of money there was nothing left in the will that it was to be paid back after her death. THa kid does agree that there was money borrowed and said sshe would pay our mother back but not that estate does this child still owe..Thanks for the advice

Re: family in need

The Court could hear objections about the sale of the house, but in this economy, any sale is probably a good one. If there is a loan and it is acknowledged, the estate must collect on it for the sake of the heirs. Visit www.kliszlaw.com for more information and to discuss your options. Tim klisz
