Under Michigan law, is there a time limited for disbursement of items designated in a Will.

The will dictates the time period to diburse assets. If the will is silent, the Michigan law dictates that the personal representative shall disburse items as quickly as possible. Generally, if the debts have been taken care of and there is no litigation involving the estate, 4-5 months from the start date of the probate estate.
