Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Michigan

I have a will for my mother's estate in the state of Michigan. My brother is taking me to probate court. Do I need to retain a lawyer if I have a will stating I am the beneficiary and executor of her estate?

Any estate that is contested should have the help of an experienced probate attorney. The rules are very tricky and litigation is intense. I'd be happy to discuss the matter with you.

You would be foolish to consider representing yourself in probate court. You need to provide much more information. has your mother's will been admitted to probate? Is your brother questioning the validity of her will. If he is the only grounds would be she was not competent when executed, undue influence or duress. A lot goes into a contested probate case and you need to hire an attorney that specializes in probate litigation. Our firm brmmlaw.com has five attorneys that all they do is when the family cannot get along.

We would be happy to discuss with you.
