Legal Question in Workers Comp in Michigan

I have a knee injury my doctor recommended surgery for a new injury. I had surgery 11 years ago on the same knee and the comp insurance company has a copy of my surgery notes from the hospital and now they are asking for the doctors notes prior to the surgery.The doctor who preformed the surgery has moved his office and is having trouble locating the information. Do I have to provide this information?
