Legal Question in Appeals and Writs in Minnesota

Accused of violating a law which exists as a simple scheme did not guarantee receiving benefit of what the law prescribes. In fact I was sent to prison. Is there any way to ACTUALLY receive the benefit of what is OBVIOUSLLY prescribed by a statute ? Or, may the Sup. Ct. now ignore the central issue as well ?
