Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Minnesota

Bankruptcy Trustee Repsonsibilites

How long does a bankruptcy trustee have to decide what final payment is needed on a Chapter 7? File for a Chapter 7 in March of 2001 in the state of Minnesota. In July of 2001, I would probably have to sale some of my assets but decided to file a chapter 13 to set up a payment plan to pay off my debt. Do to a technicality the Chapter 13 was drop. August of 2001 it was reconverted back to Chapter 7. It is now February 2004 and there has been no final payment on my bankruptcy. I had hired my second attorney back in March 2002 to resolve this but has not help.

I can't tell from your question what you mean by "final payment." Most of my Chapter 7 clients don't have to pay anything to anybody - that's the point of filing Chapter 7 in the first place.

You pretty obviously need to do a consult and get a second opinion on what's going on. You can call me at 952-544-6356 to make the appointment. My consult fee is $150.
