Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Minnesota

Would I still be able to collect from a settlement 4 yrs ago?

In 2001, someone hit my car while being parked. The person driving fled by foot and the cops was not able to catch him. I took the owner of the car to court and was awarded a 2500 settlement since the owner did not show up. To this day, I have not heard anything from the owner about this settlement or have receive any compensation for the damage of my car. I was wondering if it is still possible for me to collect from this settlement and how would I do that? Thanks

COllecting a judgment is often the hard part.

It is good for 10 years, assuming you have transcribed the judgment and have properly ordered an Execution.

Call or e=mail for further assistance.
